KICK OFF!!! – STAGE 1
The Local Plan Examination in Public starts on Tuesday 1st March at 10:00 at The Council Chamber, Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1RS.
It continues the next day at 09:30 and, if needed, on 3rd March at 10:00. The matters being considered by the Inspector are the plan’s Legal Compliance and Sustainability Appraisal.
Due to maintaining distancing within the Chamber, there will not be a public gallery but members of the Executive need to be there to advise our legal team, so we are asking supporters not to attend in person.
All hearings are being live streamed and recorded for public observation with links on the Council’s Examination Webpage shortly before the hearings commence. Recordings will be uploaded when each session has closed and stored in the Council’s Public I-.tv page. Recordings stay in the public domain until adoption of the Plan or it gets kicked into touch.
HALF-TIME – STAGE 2
The next part of the Examination begins on Thursday 24th March and continues sporadically over 18 days. The Inspector blows the final whistle on Friday 27th May.
We need to field our best team to ensure our best chance of victory. Especially for 4 key days for Capel which cover Spatial Strategy, Green Belt Release and the Strategic Sites of Tudeley and East Capel (29th March to 1st April).
Our legal team is highly professional and is worrying the opposition. But such expertise comes at cost and, whilst we will watch the purse strings closely, additional funds will help guarantee we can keep going until the match is out of our opponent’s reach. So please dig deep.
